Dear Fellow New Yorker,
Thank you for visiting my website.
I am the third generation of my family to be born and raised in Greenwich Village and I am proud to still be living on the same street where I grew up. I have spent over 25 years as a community attorney, fighting for our residents and representing small businesses. I have worked tirelessly on Community Board 2, where I served as the Chair of Liquor Licenses and Sidewalk Cafes. Subsequently, I was elected Chair of Community Board 2 for two terms. These experiences have taught me what works and what doesn’t work, and I want to continue advocating for the community by serving and representing you on the City Council.
As a public servant, my first priority is you, the people of our community. I am committed to protecting and empowering our citizens and preserving what is unique and great about our neighborhoods. Together, I believe we can:
Protect those who cannot help themselves- our children, seniors, the chronically-ill and disabled, and people living with AIDS.
Empower individuals- with education, health care and affordable housing. Empower small businesses- with the subsidies they need to survive.
Preserve all that is good in our community- our landmark neighborhoods, cultural and arts institutions and parks and open spaces- and balance this with the need to move forward.
I am committed to winning this election and, most importantly, to resolving the issues important to the people of the 3rd District. I hope that you will join me on my campaign to move New York City forward with intelligent change and make our community a better place for all of us.
Sincerely,
MPD
